1. Qualitative Research
Qualitative research is the core of my practice. I design and deliver studies that generate deep, meaningful insights into patient experience, treatment decision-making, clinician perspectives, and life with a long-term condition.

2. Mixed-Methods Research
Where a research question calls for both qualitative depth and quantitative breadth, I can support mixed-methods study designs — integrating patient-reported outcomes, survey data, and registry information alongside qualitative findings to produce a fuller picture.
3. Bleeding Disorders Research
Extensive experience with haemophilia A and B, von Willebrand disease, Glanzmann thrombasthenia, factor VII deficiency, and haemophilia with inhibitors — covering patients, carers, and healthcare professionals across all stages of the research lifecycle.
4. Red Cell Disorders Research
Research into the experiences of people with sickle cell disease and thalassaemia, with particular attention to the social, psychological, and healthcare challenges these conditions present.
5. Gene Therapy Research
One of the most comprehensive qualitative bodies of work on gene therapy from the patient perspective in the UK. The Exigency Programme explored decision-making, expectations, psychosocial impact, family experience, and barriers to access. I currently hold a postdoctoral post at the University of Oxford on the CureHeart cardiac gene therapy programme.
